The Lodestone Training and Consulting patch is rich with the heritage of those brave ones who have gone on before standing up for freedom and liberty.  An emblem of the brave explorer always stretching and pushing themselves further and harder along the path of self-sufficiency. 

To honor the background of Jared and Chris, the arrowhead is taken from the US Special Forces Shoulder sleeve insignia.  According to the U.S. Army Institute of Heraldry, the shape and items depicted in the SSI have special meaning: "The arrowhead alludes to the American Indian's basic skills in which Special Forces personnel are trained to a high degree. The dagger represents the unconventional nature of Special Forces operations, and the three lightning flashes, their ability to strike rapidly by Sea, Air or Land." Army Special Forces were the first Special Operations unit to employ the "sea, air, land" concept nearly a decade before units like the Navy SEALs were created.

We took our name, “Lodestone”, from the naturally occurring magnetic rock.  It was mankind’s first compass. Inside the arrowhead is a 8-point compass rose.   It is an accent symbol that use the eight principal winds—that is, the four cardinal directions (N, E, S, W) plus the four "intercardinal" or "ordinal directions" (NE, SE, SW, NW), at angles of difference of 45°.  This is to symbolize to us, not only are we responsible to find our path, but to seek to be well rounded.  In addition to Firearms training, Lodestone Training and Consulting encourages to be always the well-rounded student.  We teach Medical, Fieldcraft, Land navigation, Small unit tactics, home security, mindset, CQB, and so much more. 

This isn’t just any other patch, it is a symbol of empowerment, to remind you where you are in your journey and where you want to go.
